| Well most recently I watched Public Enemies. I don't know if I said that or not on here. It was okay. Had some gorgeous moments but then some awkward digital video moments. Good acting all around, though. |

| Is that the one with Johnny Depp? I can't believe Robert Patterson was voted sexier than Johnny Depp. Fucking 12 year old Twilight fans need a slap and to be presented with a real man. _________________ Midas is King and he holds me so tight and turns me to gold in the sunlight

| Indeed it is. Robert Patterson needs to have his ass kicked, as well. He's so ugly. |

| Robert Patterson is great. My knowledge and experience of people with learning difficulties is quite poor, but he helped me understand and really appreciate what it must be like to have Down's syndrome. I saw the newest Harry Potter film. I put it off for long enough, but as it's free and I've seen all the others, I decided I really should. It was... average, at best. I'd say the last 2 were better. It was too long, and I know people will complain about it missing stuff out, but I just don't care, it went on for so long, with nothing worthwhile happening. Like the books, it focuses so much on boring trivial shit, with very little, worthwhile story progression. The adult roles all seemed very well acted, of course. Unsurprisingly, that doesn't mean much with all of the younger actors butchering it. There were a few, kind of, funny moments and I suppose what you could call some character development. Some good special effects. It was watchable, but I'll have forgotten it within a week. _________________ You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.

| Funny People, I'll just paste what I said on PTF: Funny People Of the 3 movies that Judd has written AND directed, this is by far the worst. In fact, he declined in quality. As a writer, he has still written (or helped write) some funny stuff like Pineapple Express, but this... meh. See, 40 Year Old Virgin is awesome. Knocked Up isn't quite as funny but it has a shit ton of heart and it's just decent all around. But then we get Funny People, which furthers him as a director at the expense of him taking a few steps back as a writer. What was the funniest part? Eminem, by far. Dude's hilarious. What was the worst part? That stupid fucking Aussie mocking scene. Was it supposed to further her character, really show the tension? Yeah, but it was awful and cringe worthy. There were a few laughs scattered here and there but nothing great. Adam Sandler was meh, Seth was good enough. But this movie failed because the typical Apatow "heart" was done wrongly. The marriage thing was dumb and added at least half an hour onto the movie that ended up boring me. It just felt like it kept going. It's not shit, because there are some redeemable things, like Eminem or even some of the shots which were nicely framed. Some decent cinematography. I almost feel like Apatow will take a shot at directing a "serious" movie. But the movie isn't worth watching either, so just find the Eminem part on youtube or something, watch that and be done with it. |

| I watched Sunshine. I really like that movie. It is so wierd. I remember when I first watched it, I missed like 10 minutes of it while I went to toilet and came back and didnt understand what was going on. Anyway, good film. _________________ Midas is King and he holds me so tight and turns me to gold in the sunlight

| I saw Inglourious Basterds yesterday. It's not exactly what I expected, but I still really enjoyed it. You probably have to be a Tarantino fan though, I get the feeling any sceptics will dislike it. The villain was absolutely brilliant, the dialogue was of course great and the actual story itself was good. It's fairly self referential and wordy, and it's more Reservoir Dogs than Kill Bill, but overall, I thought it was really good. _________________ You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.

| I saw The Hurt Locker the other day. It was surprisingly good for what it was. Seemed quite aimless with no real story, just a series of events, and it dragged a little, but it was still a good film. Also saw District 9 yesterday. It was excellent, I'd definitely say one of my favourite films this year. The main villains, particularly the head soldier and gang leader seemed, I suppose, cartoonish and 2 dimensional for such a well developed film. They'd have been accepted in most films, but seem a little out of place. The aliens were really good though, as were the other characters, along with the special effects and story itself, it still had some really cool action. "Is that tear gas?" "No, cat food." _________________ You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.
